The hostel, Crafoord Place is on Hälsobrunnsgatan 10. Closest metro stop is S:t Eriksplan or Odenplan (green line). It's a seven-minute walk from the theatre.

GETTING HERE FROM THE AIRPORT:
From Arlanda Airport to the hostel Crafoord Place or to Stockholms Improvisationsteater:

  1. 1. Recommended: Airport Coaches (Flygbussarna) towards Stockholm City/City terminalen Busses depart up to every 10 minutes and take approx. 45 minutes to reach city. Get off at S:t Eriksplan which is just a few minutes' walk to the hostel and theatre. Tickets bought online cost 99 SEK. You can also buy your ticket at the airport for the price of 119 SEK. Tickets are valid for three months in either direction (to/from the airport). Read more and buy your ticket on: https://www.flygbussarna.se/en

  2. 2. Arlanda Express to Stockholm City. Arlanda Express takes 18 minutes to reach city and a ticket costs 295 SEK. Buy it 7 days in advance and it costs 195 SEK. The trains leave 6 times an hour during rush hour and every 15 minutes outside of rush hour times up until 11.05 pm when there's a train every 30 minutes. There are group tickets at a reduced price during the summer, starting at 2 passengers for 350 SEK. You can read more and buy your ticket on: https://www.arlandaexpress.com/. Once you've reached Stockholm city using Arland Express, you'll need to take the metro's green line from the central station to reach S:t Eriksplan.

  3. 3. Taxi. A taxi ride in to city takes approx. 40 minutes. There are almost always taxis from many different companies waiting outside the airport. Taxi fares to the city centre/S:t Eriksplan/hostel/theatre are a fixed price and range from 470 SEK to 520 SEK depending on the company. We would advise you to avoid taxis with no-name or ones that are not able to give you a specific fixed price. Some of the more well-known, reputable companies are Taxi Stockholm, SverigeTaxi and Taxi Kurir.

ACCOMODATION: We have made bookings at Crafoord Place for all of you who have asked for hostel bookings. Please note that we have only booked your accommodation for the duration of the festival. If you wish to stay additional days, the booking needs to be made by you.

SWEDISH WEATHER:
Is unlike Swedes, quite unpredictable. The typical Swedish summer weather is a bit of sun, a bit of rain and then some more rain. HOWEVER, last year the whole rain part was completely left out and we ended up with sun, sun and sun. It was HOT! We advise you to bring summer clothes as well as a pullover and a rain coat…just in case! As we say over here, "there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes"

SHOES (yes shoes get their own heading):
During workshops we will be in venues where we ask you to take your regular shoes off and put indoor shoes on, so please do bring a pair! Some people use simple socks, however this also entails the risk of slipping.

DIG STOCKHOLM IMPRO FESTIVAL STUDENT POLICY
DIG Stockholm Impro Festival aims at creating a safe and open space for everyone. A space where all participants are treated with respect and feel welcome during the Dig week. This includes workshops as well as evening activities or other events during Dig Stockholm Impro Festival.
“Yes and” is often seen as the base of all improvised theatre, and it is of course one of our cornerstone principles, however we at Dig Stockholm Impro Festival believe another essential principle to keep in mind is “make your partner happy”. We believe that the need to “yes and” should never mean placing yourself or someone else in a position that feels unsafe.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination and harassment of any kind. Dig Stockholm Impro Festival management reserves the right to remove students from workshops or the festival if a situation of discrimination or harassment calls for it.

If you at any point need to raise an issue or discuss a situation, please don’t hesitate to contact Per Gottfredsson (+46 707339762) or Therese Hörnqvist (+46 702796339).

And also……LET THE WORLD KNOW!:
Let the world know how you're preparing for Dig, using hashtag #digimprofestival2019 when posting on social media. It makes us happy and the rest of the world jealous!
