Corona policy, fall semester 2020

We made all our impro courses digital this spring, due to the pandemic. It has been an exciting challenge for us to adapt our pedagogy and to invent new exercises and modify existing ones to work in a new medium - but we really miss having all you students here with us!

We believe that it will be possible to resume classes in our facilities this coming fall. However, a number of things will not be the way they used to be.

So, for all of you who miss our improvisation theatre, and for those who are curious about trying impro for the first time, we have gathered all our application terms, preemptive health measures and terms of conduct on this page.

* We won't do exercises that require us having physical contact or standing close to each other.

* There will be wash basins, paper towels and hand alcohol at all of our facilities. All teachers and students wash and sanitize hands before every class.

* The short break in the middle of the class has been removed in order to have proper time between classes to clean and sanitize surfaces and door handles.

*Stay at home if you have even the smallest of symptoms of having a cold or otherwise being ill. Inform us of your absence at or directly to your teacher, and stay at home until you feel all well again.

* Don't feel bad if this means that you miss one or even a few classes. We will have extra catch-up classes after the conclusion of every course, specifically for those who have missed some of the regular classes. We hope that this will make it easier for everyone to make the correct decision and stay at home if your health demands it.

* If you, due to your health, being in quarantine or lock-down, or any other Covid-related reason have to cancel from a course you have signed up to, you can of course do so. Please try to do so as soon as you know that you will have to cancel, so that we can offer your place to someone else.

* Cancellations due to Covid-related reasons that are made no later than 24 hours before your first class will be refunded in full, or you can opt to use the fee you already paid to sign up to a later course.

All other cancellations must be done at least 14 days before your first class, in order for the fee to be refunded.
N.B! The 14-day rule also applies to all of our digital courses.

Digital backup

*If it, during the fall, becomes impossible or unsuitable to continue classes in our facilities, we will move our courses to a digital forum and keep the classes going there, much the same way as we did this past spring. Such a decision will be made following the recommendations of the Swedish government and Folkhälsomyndigheten.

* Not all of our courses are possible to transform to a digital forum, for example improvised singing. If classes must be discontinued all students in such courses will be offered compensation for any remaining classes, alternatively the remaining amount can be used as credits for a later course.

* We clean and disinfect door handles and surfaces daily, before the start of each class.
* We also disinfect door handles and surfaces in between classes at night.
* There will of course be hand alcohol, paper towels and wash basins at all of our facilities.

*Our facilities differ in size and we have determined the following maximum number of students in classes in these respective facilities, in order for us to be able to keep safe distances in exercises, and at breaks:

Scenen: Max 12 students
Studion: Max 12 students
Annexet: Max 9 students
Tage Granit: Max 12 students
